Night School co-stars Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart have known each other for years. When Haddish was homeless, Hart loaned her $300 to get a motel room after discovering she was living in her car. Now, during the press run for the fall comedy, the Los Angeles native has hilariously forced him to take repayment–with interest.

Last night, Will Packer, the film’s producer, shared a video clip of Haddish raining money on the funnyman while he sat for an interview on the movie set. “You may have heard the story of how @KevinHart4real loaned @TiffanyHaddish some money when she was homeless. Well, witness the EXACT moment when she paid him BACK! Turn the volume up! 🤣🤣🤣 #NightSchool,” Packer wrote.

Hart can be heard in the video saying, “Now, Tiffany, I didn’t even want the money back.” He then makes a joke about Black people eventually paying back their debts. “Eventually, Black people will pay you back,” he quipped. “We lose hope on our own. We assume that our own are never going to come around, but they will. This is a 13-year investment.”

Night School will be in theaters Sept. 28. Watch the humorous exchange below.
