You may know Tina Campbell as one half of Mary Mary, but the songstress has her own personal testimony to share.
While enduring a tumultuous period in her life, the powerhouse took her troubles to the recording studio, laying down the uplifting and spiritual tracks for her debut solo album It’s Personal.
Now with two Stellar awards under her belt and a renewed marriage, Mrs. Campbell is ready to drop off her latest hit – “Speak The Word.”
“It’s autobiographical for me,” the star told EBONY.com. “A few years ago, my life was so bad that the only true therapy I could find was in reading the bible. I began singing and speaking those truths. Now I’m grateful to be living those truths. It all comes to life in my new single and video ‘Speak The Word.'”
In the five-minute clip, Tina, along with her hubby Teddy Campbell, take it to the church, forcing the congregation out of their seats with the upbeat record.
Accompanied by a live band, the couple uses a 1920s backdrop for a gospel swing praise fest that’s sure to get you on your feet for a two-step jig down the aisle.
