The Paramount Network uploaded the official trailer for Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin, a six-part docuseries focused on the life and death of the 17-year-old unarmed teen, who was fatally shot by neighborhood watch volunteer, George Zimmerman. The docuseries executive produced by JAY-Z is set to premiere on July 30.

The trailer shows snippets of interviews with Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, Trayvon’s parents, and NBA star Carmelo Anthony. The music featured in the background is by Black Thought, in which he raps, “Rest in power / Rest in paradise / To all the babies too young to have had to pay the price.”

JAY-Z acquired the rights to the books Suspicion Nation: The Inside Story of the Trayvon Martin Injustice and Why We Continue to Repeat It and Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin for the project. The filming of the project made headlines after Zimmerman threated the rapper with bodily harm for trying to interview his parents.

This will be the second docuseries JAY-Z has produced following Time: The Kalief Browder StoryHe references both film projects on the song “The Black Effect,” from The Carters’ collaborative album, Everything Is Love, rapping, “Since the Kalief doc, they’ve been at my neck / Ya’ll can tell ’em Trayvon is comin’ next.”
