Authorities are investigating a fire that took place at Tyler Perry Studios on Monday. The fire is the second blaze in recent months at the facilities on Continental Colony Parkway in southeast Atlanta. The local fire department's spokeswoman, Marian McDaniel, said the latest incident was confined to a roof of a building at the complex. The building was undergoing repairs to the roof when the fire broke out, McDaniel said. The building did not sustain any structural damage, no injuries were reported, and the fire was brought under control in less than an hour.

In early May, the exterior of a building in the 30-acre complex was heavily damaged by fire. The interior of that building sustained some water damage as well. The cause behind the building being on fire Monday was not yet determined, although it was not immediately known whether it was the same building that caught fire on May 1. Perry's 200,000-square-foot studio, which opened in 2008, is home to sets, sound stages, and a 400-seat theater.
