Usher Raymond and wife of two years, Grace Miguel, have called it quits, at least for now. While the pair haven’t mentioned a thing about divorce, they confirmed their separation yesterday with an official statement:

“After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”

The Jasmine Brand now reports that the couple have been in a “negative place” for some time, with a source telling the site, “they’ve been fighting non-stop over the past year.”

Reportedly, the couple ultimately split due to Miguel’s desire to have a child, a request the “Nice & Slow” singer allegedly wasn’t willing to fulfill.

“Grace REALLY wanted to have kids and Usher wasn’t necessarily open to the idea,” claims the source.

Miguel, 46, reportedly wanted to have a surrogate carry their child while the former The Voice judge was only willing to adopt, with the source sharing, “He was the deciding factor of them not having a kid together.”

Raymond has two children with ex-wife, Tameka Foster
Accusations of Usher passing an STD to several women last year also put a strain on the relationship, according to the report.

“The headlines and accusations were brutal. And it was really tough on them. They were fighting about it non-stop.”
