Former Oscar contenders and "Doubt" co-stars Viola Davis and Meryl Streep have made their respect and love for one another clear throughout award season interviews. Despite Viola's loss to Streep for the Best Actress award, the two are still going strong. Strong enough, in fact, that Streep recently donated a whopping $10,000 gift to a struggling school in Davis' hometown in Davis' honor.

The Segue Institute for Learning, a charter school located in Central Falls, Rhode Island, has been facing a possible eviction because of lacking funds for the school's current building. Streep's donation has helped greatly to prevent that, according to Andy Garcia, the school's director and founder. It seems as if a close friendship might possibly be the saving grace for than 200 students.

Should more actresses take note of Davis and Streep's inspirational friendship and follow suit?
