Wanda Sykes, Gabourey Sidibe, LeVar Burton and other stars have lent their voice to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.s work, Audible announced on Tuesday.

The Radical King is a collection of 23 essays and speeches, which depicts King as an activist for the poor, charismatically performed by notable celebrity figures.

It is the first time King’s estate has granted professional actors to perform his work, according to the press release.

“I am humbled and honored that my voice and my performance of Dr. King’s essays and speeches will be the first way that a new generation of people hear them aloud,” said Luke Cage’s Mike Colter. “Dr. King’s words, still so timely and important, are meant to be heard. Listening to these key pieces is sure to be a powerful experience for the listener, and a meaningful way to preserve Dr. King’s legacy.”

The Radical King was curated and edited by Dr. Cornel West.

“Dr. King is celebrated as one of the greatest orators in American history, and the performances of these incredible actors remind us why,” said Audible EVP and Publisher Beth Anderson. “This captivating recording is a testament to Dr. King’s enduring vision.”
