A never-before-heard version of Whitney Houston's "I Look To You" will be released soon, according to an interview with Clive Davis. "She did two verses and a chorus, and it's just terribly sad that this incredible, unique treasure is not here anymore," Davis told reporters.

Originally the title track of her 2009 album, the updated song reportedly features fellow R&B singer R. Kelly and demonstrates Houston's powerhouse vocals thanks to a brief smoking hiatus she had undergone at the time. "I really wanted the public to hear Whitney with her voice intact," he said, as reported. "Tragically, it shows what her voice could have sounded like if, as she had promised me that week she passed away, that she was going to give up cigarettes entirely."

Davis had prompted Kelly to create the new version after hearing him deliver his version at Houston's funeral this year. The track will be featured on the upcoming 18-track tribute album "I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston," which will hit stores on Nov. 13.
