Will & Jada Talk Scientology & Swinging in ‘Red Table Talk’ Teaser

“I’ve been watching people crying and breaking down, you’re not breaking me today, Jada!”

This comes from Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith’s first guest for Season 2 of her hit Facebook series, Red Table Talk. In addition to speaking on a 45-day rough patch that left Pinkett Smith in tears, The Smiths are addressing all the rumors surrounding their marriage, the good, bad and the ugly.

The couple speaks on years-long whispers that they’re swingers, as well as Scientologists, which Jada has previously denied.  The wife and mother also talk about finding her own identity outside of her husband and children. Oscar-nominee Will also confesses to needing Jada’s validation early on in their relationship. The Smiths then joke that they never got divorced because “it’s cheaper to keep her.”

In one clip from the new season, Will is brought to tears while discussing their marital woes, believing they were “failing miserably.”

Speaking to their daughter, Willow, Will says, “There was a period of time when Mommy woke up and cried for 45 days straight. That was the worst I’ve felt in our marriage. I was failing miserably.”

Jada’s Facebook series has addressed several private family issues within the Smith household, including co-parenting with Will’s first wife, Sheree Fletcher. The popular episode featured the two moms gushing over their children and having a meaningful conversation about co-parenting. Jada even apologized for flirting with the actor before he and Fletcher officially called it quits.

Jada has also discussed her battle with alopecia, describing the first time she noticed “handfuls of hair” while in the shower, before going on to declare the “terrifying” moment as the reason she cut her tresses off. “It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking with fear,” the actress said. “That’s why I cut my hair and continued to cut it.”

She also admitted that medical tests to determine the cause of her alopecia have been inconclusive, but overall, she believes it’s a response to stress. Although she could have chosen to be devastated, Jada said she wouldn’t trade losing something else to maintain her formerly thick head of hair. “The higher power takes so much from people … and, by golly, if the higher power wants to take your hair . . . that’s it?” she said. “What else would you lose? What else would you put on the table for God to take? Take the hair.”

Red Table Talk returns Monday, October 22nd on Facebook Watch.
