Tyrese has had a trying two months to say the least, with the star being accused of abusing both his ex-wife, Norma Gibson, and their daughter, Shayla. These accusations led to a temporary restraining order being placed on the Baby Boy actor, which his ex hopes to make permanent.

The stress of it all even led to a hospital visit for the singer and eventually a very public breakdown that he chose to share with fans. Within the rant, Gibson called out his “millionaire and billionaire friends” who haven’t been there for him, prompting two of them to step in and take action.

Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith gave the controversial crooner a whopping $5 million to help cover the legal fees in his court case, legal fees he claimed were bleeding him dry.

“My wife kept the news away from me cause I’ve been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat- You’ve guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughters legal fees will be paid ! will listen.”

In addition to landing some financial backup from The Smiths, Gibson also received word over the weekend that his abuse investigation has been closed, according to sources at The Blast.

“The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services closed their investigation and will not be seeking any criminal charges against the actor.”

While the abuse allegations have been dropped, The Gibsons are reportedly still going through litigation regarding the current restraining order.
