Will Smith has partnered with Japan’s World Cup soccer star Keisuke Honda to start The Dreamers Fund, a venture capital fund that will launch later this month, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The fund is based in Los Angeles and plans to raise $100 million of Japanese money to invest in U.S. startups that focus on social issues that interest its two founders.

Smith performed “Live It Up,” the FIFA World Cup song, in Moscow on July 15 during the tournament final. At a pre-match press conference, he shared his admiration for Honda. “You know who else I like? Keisuke Honda. We have a little bit of a relationship. Keisuke is the truth. I like his heart. He is a really authentic, good dude,” said the actor when asked about his favorite soccer players.

The actor and the soccer star reportedly know each other through the management company, Honda Estilo, both stars and Jaden are listed on the website.

Honda said that he hopes “to change the lives of people in the U.S., Japan and the world for the better through the Dreamers Fund,” reports Variety.

Despite Smith and Honda being famous for acting and soccer, respectively, the funds will not be restricted to the sports nor entertainment sectors.
