Just in time for Valentine's Day, EBONY is back with its 28 Days of EBONY Love campaign, in which prominent figures within the Black community talk about how they experience love as a couple, through family or as a form of self-care.
For the first week of February, we featured NBA player Iman Shumpert, who openly expresses love for his wife, entertainer Teyana Taylor, and their daughter, Junie. He discussed the power love has to "translate" and "unlock" the beauty of life.
"Love is one of the only reminders besides pain that things are real. It's one of the only things worth fighting for," Shumpert said. "It doesn't tarnish. It doesn't break and it will prove a lot to you [and] to your mate. It's just a beautiful thing."
