A Star-Studded Funeral: Celebrities Expected to Attend, Speak

Whitney Houston's private, invite-only funeral will reportedly feature major celebrities, some of whom Houston worked with, including "Bodyguard" co-star Kevin Costner. Costner will take the lead role in speaking at Houston's funeral, which will take place at noon on Saturday, at New Jersey's New Hope Baptist Church.

Music royalty expected to perform at the service include Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys and Bebe Winans, who in an interview with ABC News' Deborah Roberts, fought back tears when speaking of the late singer. Winans says he will "try his best to sing a song…and will salute Nippy," the nickname Houston was given by many of her close peers and relatives.

Clive Davis, a mentor and Houston's long time record producer is also slated to speak at her service. Celebrities expected to attend include Denzel Washington, Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Mel Gibson, Janet Jackson and Alicia Keys.

Although there are reports that say Bobby Brown, Houston's ex-husband, was being barred from the service, Houston's family is denying these allegations, but they are not confirming whether or not he will be in attendance on Saturday. Brown has been by his daughter's side, Bobbi Kristina, since Sunday, after she was hopsitalized for anxiety and stress following the sudden death of her mother.

In an email statement to ABCnews.com on Tuesday, Brown said that his daughter "Bobbi Kristina was doing much better."

Others confirmed on the tight guest list are Chaka Khan, Bebe and CeCe Winans, songwriter Diane Warren, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Antonio "L.A." Reid, Brandy and Ray J.

Whitney Houston will reportedly be laid to rest next to her father at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J.
