Actress Naomie Harris recently revealed a tidbit about fellow British actor Idris Elba in a press interview for the upcoming James Bond film "Skyfall." Playing "Miss Moneypenny," one of the new Bond girls, Harris was asked whether she had heard of talks about a possible Black James Bond film and is she had any personal favorites that she would consider for the role. "I didn’t realize that there was this talk and then I did a film with Idris [Elba] and he said that he met Barbara Broccoli [James Bond producer] and that it does seem like there is a possibility in the future that there could very well be a black James Bond," Harris told an interviewer. "And I would have to vote for Idris because I just finished working with him and he’s a great guy."

While Harris' news confirms that Elba would be a top contender for the Black Bond role, production news regarding the potential project continues to be rumored. Nonetheless, given Elba's crossover success and mainstream appeal, the former "Wire" star might don the famous black tuxedo soon enough. Elba most recently started in the star-studded blockbuster horror-thriller "Prometheus."
