Stacey Dash may have political dreams, but she might just have to get by popular Compton, California Mayor Aja Brown to make them a reality.
TMZ reports the Clueless actress plans to run for Congress in California’s 44th District, which includes Compton, Watts, San Pedro and North Long Beach. Reportedly, upon hearing the former Fox News talking head would be throwing her hat in the ring, Brown decided to do so as well, following several members of the California Congressional delegation contacting the USC alum, urging her to run.
Brown is beloved within her city, receiving praise from Compton natives like Kendrick Lamar, actress Amber Riley and Ava DuVernay, who recently co-hosted a free screening of her new film, A Wrinkle in Time, in the city alongside the Mayor.
