Nominations for this year's American Music Awards have been announced, with the usual suspects snagging multiple nods. Headline darlings Rihanna and Nicki Minaj both received four nominations, tying for the number of most nominations. Drake and Usher both earned three nominations, while J. Cole and Chris Brown picked up two.

Battling it out for the highly coveted Artist of the Year award will be alleged former flames Rihanna and Drake, among other Top 40 artists. Roc Nation artist Cole will be a contender for New Artist of the Year. "The Voice" judge Christina Aguilera has been the first announced performer set to take the stage during the three-hour show. The 40th Annual AMAs will air Nov. 18 on ABC.
