The world lost its greatest vocalist, Aretha Franklin, in August 2018. The Detroit diva left her mark on soul, R&B and pop music while taking her gospel roots everywhere she went. In the never-before-seen concert film Amazing Grace, a young Franklin, introduced by gospel great the Rev. James Cleveland, takes to the pulpit of a South Los Angeles church to sing the iconic hymn and other Christian classics as only she could.

Filmed in 1972, the concert made its debut during the 2018 film festival circuit and will open in theaters April 5. Check out the powerful trailer below.
