Omarion, Fizz, J-Boog and Raz B, collectively known as B2K, sat down with EBONY for an exclusive interview to discuss their reunion, how they have evolved as performers and why they chose to hit the road after years apart.

When asked about hitting the stage again after so much time off, Omarion said, “We only had a month of rehearsal and that’s kind of incredible for an hour show and for people who haven’t been around each other for this many years.”

Fizz added that while he and Raz were ready to bring the group back years ago, their schedules—and their paychecks—finally allowed for the reunion to go down 17 years after the release of their self-titled debut album.

“Honestly, it was just timing. Everybody’s schedules linked up and we were able to come together as a unit and make it happen. The universe has its ways,” he said.

J-Boog added, “Yeah, and those fans do, too. They did not give up, they’ve been relentless. “

When it comes to evolving as performers, Raz B said that spending seven years in China helped evolve his stage presence. “Just being in that culture, I was able to learn so much. I was able to grow, especially because I was doing [solo] performances and I’m used to performing with these guys. I grew into my gift, basically,” he said.

Boog added, “Coming back with these guys and performing with them, everyone is a showman … we running our show now, we’re veterans now, as performers, as professional entertainers.”

The crew wrapped up by discussing the love they’ve received from the ladies while on the road, with O praising their loyal fanbase.

“They’ve been very polite, considerate and very loving. That’s what we need, we need love and comfort. There’s so much love and it’s so amazing, I’m really grateful, all of us,” he said.

Hours after this interview, Raz B threatened to quit the tour due to the presence of Chris Stokes, whom the singer claims abused him as a teenager. He has since agreed to continue, writing on Instagram, “I am a work in progress. I appreciate the outpouring of love, empathy, and understanding from my supporters. I look forward to continuing the Millennium Tour for our fans. You all deserve it!”
