JAY-Z and Beyoncé completed OTR II, their joint European and North American stadium tour, in Seattle last week after performing a total of 48 shows in 39 cities worldwide.
More than 2.1 million fans across the UK, Europe and North America attended the epic run of shows with openers Chloe x Halle and DJ Khaled, according to a press release obtained by EBONY.com.
The tour featured songs from both artists’ albums throughout the decades including “’03 Bonnie and Clyde,” “Drunk in Love,” “99 Problems,” “Ring the Alarm,” “4:44,” and “APESHIT,” the single of their surprise collaborative album, EVERYTHING IS LOVE, which released in June.
The BeyGOOD Initiative and The Shawn Carter Foundation, the couple’s non-profits, respectively, launched the OTRII Scholarship program, awarding over $1 million in $100,000 scholarships to one qualified student in each U.S. tour market, beginning in Atlanta. The Boys and Girls Club of America was brought on board to choose the recipients.
The tour was presented by Live Nation Global Touring in association with Parkwood Entertainment and Roc Nation.
