Stars of both the old school and the new will be honored at this year's "Black Girls Rock!" special. A recent report revealed that "New Day" songstress Alicia Keys will be receiving the "Rock Star" award, while "Scandal" actress Kerry Washington will be honored with the "Star Power" award. R&B veteran Dionne Warwick will be honored with "Living Legend" award.
Other honorees slated to receive awards include journalist Susan Taylor and Somali activist Dr. Hawa Abdi. The "Black Girls Rock!" special is slated to film Oct.13 and air on BET on Nov. 4. Actresses Regina King and Tracee Ellis Ross will be returning to host the awards show.
