Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson just landed a book deal.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Mckesson will be releasing a book called On the Other Side of Freedom: The Case For Hope through Viking Books later this year.
His publisher described it to Buzzfeed as “part biography and part memoir that ‘lays out the intellectual, pragmatic political framework for a new liberation movement.'”

Mckesson rose to prominence after the shooting death of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014.
Since then, he’s gone on to work for the Baltimore public school system, and Mckesson recently launched a podcast with Crooked Media called Pod Save the People.
On the Other Side of Freedom: The Case for Hope is scheduled for release in September.
