Marvel’s Black Panther is continuing to break records, now becoming the top-grossing film in history by a Black director.

Ryan Coogler’s smash hit surpassed previous record-holder Straight Outta Compton, bringing in an estimated $387 million worldwide compared with the NWA biopic landing at a still-impressive $214 million worldwide in 2015, according to The Jasmine Brand.

Black Panther also demolished the Presidents Day weekend record, knocking 2016’s Deadpool out of the No. 1 position, as reported by Variety.

The impact of the star-studded film has been felt internationally as well, with the movie shattering opening-day numbers in the U.K. Express reports that Black Panther opened in Ireland and the U.K to a whopping £2.67 million ($3,746,517 in U.S. dollars).
