Kanye and Kim Don’t Believe in Physical Discipline

Adrien Peterson might disagree, but you probably won’t catch Yeezy taking off his Louis Vuitton belt to discipline daughter North West. An insider tells Radar Online that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s household is a no-switch zone. “As North gets older, and when she acts up, there will be time outs, taking away a favorite toy, but absolutely no physical discipline,” the source says. And if Nori throws a tantrum like her dad, it’s likely Kim will play bad cop in this power couple. “She has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. It’s very clear that Kim will have to be the disciplinarian when North gets older.” Whether or not spankings happen elsewhere in the Kimye household is a whole ’nother story.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Respond to Photo Leak

Another day, another set of private celebrity photos being leaked for public consumption. In what feels like a real-life episode of Being Mary Jane, Gabrielle Union is one of the latest targets of the iCloud-hacking scandal that’s been dubbed “The Fappening.” (They caught Meagan Good out there too.) But she ain’t here for any victim-blaming. In a statement, the actress and her husband Dwyane Wade called the perpetrators “vultures,” citing the history of women of color being stripped of power over their own bodies. “For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes, we send our love, support and prayers,” read the statement. “We have done nothing wrong.”

Alicia Keys Says Her Best Music Is Yet to Come

Olivia Pope has The Gladiators and now Alicia Keys has her own backup squad: The Illuminaries. The piano-playing icon spoke with Billboard ahead of the iHeartRadio Music Festival this weekend and shared that her crew of hit men—made up of Swizz Beatz, Mark Batson and Harold Lilly—are cooking up “crazy outrageous music, outrageous lyrics” for her next album. “For me, [it’s] the best music I’ve ever done,” she adds. Pharrell’s laying the production sheen on much of Alicia’s as-yet-untitled sixth studio LP, and if their collaboration on his G I R L album (“Know Who You Are”) is any indication of the duo’s new material, we’re pretty amped. There’s still no word on what’s coming first: Alicia’s upcoming project or her and Swizz’s second bundle of joy (due in December).
