Solange Debuts Puma Girls of Blaze Disc Collection

A few months ago, Solange Knowles announced her upcoming sneaker line and new position at Puma as creative consultant and art director. Well, now the colorful singer has finally dropped the Girls of Blaze Disc Collection, and it’s got her crazy, funky fashion sense splattered all over it. The sneaks run a pretty good penny, but hey, if you’re balling like that…. One thing’s for sure: Matthew and Tina Knowles definitely raised them a pair of hard-body hustlers. Congrats Solo!

Nike Drops Kanye’s Red October

Speaking of sneakers, Nike pulled a Beyoncé on us last night (Feb. 9) when they dropped Kanye West’s Air Yeezy II Red October out of the blue. Some of you may recall Ye going ballistic late last year (but he went off so many times, I can’t blame you if you don’t) over Nike’s unwillingness to give the former Looney Louis Vuitton Don full creative control and whatnot, ultimately ditching the checkmark brand for Adidas. Still, Nike announced that they would release his highly anticipated kicks anyway, but later scraped that. (Sounds like a couple fresh off of Love & Hip Hop, doesn’t it?)

But just like a bad on-again-off-again relationship, they ended up getting it together. And once those red monsters hit the market, they sold out in 11 minutes! (Somewhere right now, Kanye is preparing the speech for his next fashion rant.)

Kendrick Lamar Gives Back to Local Fans in South Africa

Kendrick Lamar may have gotten robbed at this year’s Grammys, but that doesn’t stop him from giving back to his less fortunate fans. The self-proclaimed king of New York hit up Durban, South Africa for a concert, and before jumping on stage, he partied it up with the locals. (Which means he dipped into a part of town most people wouldn’t even ride by.) But no fear for Compton’s good kid; he signed some autographs, took a few flicks and even handed out free tickets to his show that night. Not to mention he looked like he was having the time of his life. Talk about having a heart of gold.
