Kodjoe appeared on BET from 2013-2016 as a star of the reality television parody The Real Husbands of Hollywood.  Regarding his new deal with the entertainment brand geared toward African-Americans, the actor said, “I’m excited to be a part of a network that has shaped popular culture for decades and to tell stories that celebrate the many facets of who we are.”

BET is equally excited about the partnership. “We’re excited to grow and deepen our longstanding relationship with Boris Kodjoe,” said Executive Vice President and Head of Original Programming Connie Orlando. “His work both in front of and behind the camera has earned him fans around the globe, and we look forward to working closely with him on content ideas that will resonate with our audiences across all platforms.

It is unclear whether the Austrian-born actor will star in any of the projects he pitches to the network.
