Britney Spears Covers Aretha Franklin & Black Twitter is Confused

Just days after Taylor Swift’s cover of Earth, Wind & Fire favorite, “September,” set Black Twitter ablaze, another pop diva has attempted to cover an R&B/ Soul record, as Britney Spears recently took on Aretha Franklin’s “Think.”

The singer covered the Queen of Soul’s classic via Snapchat, using the pink-hued bunny filter and switching out Franklin’s signature husky tone for a chipmunk-esque delivery instead.

Fans were also able to pitch correct the video, revealing Spears’ actual singing voice. Hear that version below.

Just like Ms. Swift, the “Toxic” singer was met with mass criticism for even jokingly attempting to cover the 1968 hit. Check out the best reactions below.
