Cardi B continued her promo run for her debut album Invasion of Privacy on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The pregnant rapper revealed to Ellen some of her carvings, how functional her long nails are and said that Offset already chose a name for their unborn daughter.
“It’s like almost tricky but when it comes out it’s like ‘ahhhh’,” Cardi said without disclosing the name. The Bronx native said she would let Offset tell the world the name since he chose it. Ellen also jokingly offered $20,000 for the couple to name the baby Ellen before gifting Cardi with a baby version of the checkered outfit she wore on her album cover.
Things became a little more serious when Ellen asked Cardi to describe her childhood. “I was always the funny kid. I used to always get kicked out of class,” Cardi said. The 25-year-old admits she was always disruptive a trait Ellen said has been useful in the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s career. She then details stripping for 3 and a half years after realizing her rap career wasn’t taking off. When Ellen asked Cardi if she liked stripping she replied, “Hell yeah!”
