Serving as queen of an historically Black college or university (HBCU) requires more than just a pretty face. You have to be poised, personable and come up with a vision (called a platform) for your reign. Additionally, you need great school spirit and, ideally, a magnetic personality. There are tons of awesome celebrities—Oprah Winfrey, Taraji P. Henson, Keshia Knight Pulliam and K. Michelle to name a few— who attended HBCUs and exude school spirit but there are even more superstars who would have been awe-inspiring additions to any campus (even before fame) and killer campus queens. EBONY rounds up a few famous faces who would be welcomed to wear the crown on any yard.
