Following the success of his debut as an author, Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It, radio and television personality Charlamagne Tha God is set to publish his next highly anticipated book, Shook One: Anxiety Playing Tricks On Me.
The South Carolina native will tackle the role anxiety plays in slowing down our progress, and how it can ultimately be turned into an asset to accomplish our personal goals, using plenty of examples from his own complicated come up within the industry.

“People think I’m successful because I’m fearless,” said the Breakfast Club host. “But the truth is, I’m successful because I’m scared. I want people to know it’s okay to be scared, that we may be more ‘shook’ than we let on. I also want people to recognize that being so-called ‘soft’ can save your life. Shook One is about how facing your fears is the greatest action you can take to realize your dreams.”
“This next great book from Charlamagne continues his commitment to live his own truth publicly,” said Touchstone executive editor Matthew Benjamin. “This is a journey he is currently on and one he is determined to show is a healthy path for many.”
Charlemagne recently conducted an exclusive interview with one of our time’s most controversial figures, Kanye West.
Shook One: Anxiety Playing Tricks On Me, will release in the fall.
