Chewing Gum fans rejoice! Season two of the quirky British comedy will be rolling out to Netflix’s global audience this April!
Inspired by writer and comedian Michaela Coel’s award-winning one-woman show, Chewing Gum follows Tracey Gordon as she hilariously tries to break away from her super religious family to have a normal life.
According to Retort TV, Tracey is “an energetic young woman emerging from a delayed adolescence against the backdrop of a vibrant East London estate. Tracey wants more from life. More of everything. She’s twenty-four and still a virgin. A Christian who puts her faith in Beyoncé. A free spirit making the most of life with her strict mother, unpredictable sister and livewire friends.”

The first season, which was was a hit on British TV and later with Americans on Netflix, saw Tracey fumble her way through a relationship with her on again/off again boyfriend Connor, while getting some questionable advice form her friends and family. And if it’s any indication of fans can expect from season two–watch out, we’re in for a whole lot of laughs.
Though season two just wrapped on UK television last month, it will hit Netflix on April 4.
We can’t wait!
