Insecure creator and star Issa Rae graces the cover of EBONY’s September issue cementing her presence as a rising fashionista. Rae went from being the witty mind behind The Awkward Black Girl web series to becoming a best-selling author, history-making host and one of the most talked about Black creators in Hollywood.
It’s only the beginning for the Los Angeles native, who will appear in The Hate U Give film adaptation this fall. The third season of Rae’s hit HBO series premieres on Aug. 12.
