Dave Chappelle Goes on Letterman

Dave Chappelle on Leaving TV: "I Didn't Quit, I'm 7 Years Late to Work"

In his first late-night television appearance in six years, Dave Chappelle went on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Dave Chappelle appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman Tuesday night. It was his first appearance on the Late Show in 10 years, and, as Splitsider noted, it was his first late-night appearance since an interview on Late Night With Conan O'Brien in 2008.

He was there to promote his nine dates at Radio City Music Hall (and to announce that one of them will feature Nas), though they’re mostly all sold out.
