Drake’s partnership with Jordan Brand has produced some fire kicks, but the “God’s Plan” rapper may be switching over to #TeamAdidas, according to HYPEBEAST.
The Toronto MC is reportedly “unhappy” with his current situation at Jordan Brand and looking to relocate sooner rather than later. The 6 god could be following in the footsteps of “Glow” collaborator Kanye West, who made the switch from Nike to Adidas back in 2013. He’d also be joining Pusha T, Big Sean, David Beckham, Rita Ora and several other celebs who currently rep the three-stripes brand.
Drizzy and Jordan Brand have worked together since 2013, with several Jordan silhouettes reworked by Drake’s OVO imprint over the past five years. HYPEBEAST also reports Adidas had planned a major announcement for last weekend’s 747 Warehouse St. activation, but that has been rescheduled. The man himself has also been “liking” several Adidas photos on Instagram.
