‘Empire’ Scores Third Season from Fox

The reign will continue: Fox has renewed hit drama Empire for a third season.

The network has given an early renewal to the series, which has averaged a whopping 21.2 million viewers across multiple platforms and a 7.3 rating among adults 18-49 for its second season when including DVR playback. Plus Empire was recently the only broadcast series to earn a Golden Globe nomination for best drama, while star Taraji P. Henson won the Globe on Sunday for best leading actress in a TV drama.
