Well, that was different.
On Sunday, former Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie gave her very interesting interpretation of “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.
The sultry, bluesy rendition of the national anthem had a lot of people at the game and online scratching their heads, including Draymond Green, who was seen laughing during the performance.
Former NBA star and sports commentator Charles Barkley said he “needed a cigarette after that,” while Shaquille O’Neil hopped to the star’s defense saying, “It was different, it was sexy. Leave her alone.”
The reactions to the “Fergalicious” singer’s take on the “Star-Spangled Banner” ranged from bemused to confused.
