After playing for three successful NFL teams — the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, and the Indianapolis Colts — Glenn Sharpe has found himself in some serious trouble. The defensive back who came to the Falcons as an undrafted free agent from the University of Miami, was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of murder. Sharpe, who was taken from his Lawrenceville home, has been accused of fatally shooting Christopher Galloway at his home on Monday in Stone Mountain.

In his first court appearance on Friday, the 27-year-old showed up in an orange jumpsuit and kept his head down as he heard the charges filed against him. After, he was escorted to a van that took him to the DeKalb county jail.  There is little information being released about the shooting but, Sharpe's preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 28. The NFLer won a Super Bowl ring with the Saints in 2010 as a practice squad member, then briefly joined the Colts the following year and was waived from the team soon after.

Does Sharpe's situation reflect badly on NFL athletes?
