“Gimme the Loot” Shines at SXSW

“Gimme the Loot,” the first feature from New York filmmaker Adam Leon, won the highly coveted Grand Jury award at the SXSW Film Fest. It follows two Bronx teenagers with a love for graffiti writing on a revenge mission that spans for 48 hours, and stars newcomers Tysheeb Hickson and Tashiana R. Washington.

Although indie films like "Gimme the Loot" and "Pariah" may be difficult to catch at theaters, is there any doubt that they may be more worthwhile than their big budget brethren?
