Second Time’s a Charm: Grown-ish Gets Renewed

The Black-ish spin-off, Grown-ish, lead by Yara Shahidi debuted to excellent ratings and raving reviews. The millennial inspired show has since been renewed for a second season. The news was announced at the Freeform Summit on Thursday (January 18).

The second season also came with an episode increase. It will comprise of 20 episodes as opposed to the 13 episodes featured on season 1.

“The first episode ranked as Freeform’s biggest series launch in 2 years among Total Viewers and also opened as Freeform’s best comedy debut in nearly 6 years in Total Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Women 18-49 – since Baby Daddy in June 2012,” according to Shadow and Act.
