Upset that "The Game" has lost its all-star actors? Well, don't worry, as Jeff Nathanson and Gavin Polone, the pens behind the "Rush Hour" series and "Curb Your Enthusiasm," respectively, have sold a pitch to HBO for an untitled hour-long project involving the NBA. It would offer viewers an unflinching behind-the-scenes look at a professional basketball team and would feature the money, sex, power, and temptation that often accompanies the world of pro sports.

HBO is certainly not a newcomer when it comes to sports. Aside from HBO Sports, which has produced some of the most memorable sports documentaries and boxing events in recent history, HBO is looking to capitalize on its past success like "Arliss." With a slot now open due to "Luck's" cancelation, it will be interesting to see if the new basketball dramedy will swoop in and secure the spot.
