Talk of Idris Elba playing the next James Bond has been circulating for years, but it appears one woman very close to the actor just isn’t here for it.
Sabrina Dhowre recently told The Sun that with Elba’s work schedule being so hectic, she’s been left with the brunt of the housework, and believes things would be even worse if he became the next Bond.
“He supports gender equality but we don’t always share all the chores at home because he works so much,” she said. “I can’t imagine what it would be like being married to the next James Bond, but I’d imagine he’d be 10 times as busy as he is now.”
She went on, “I didn’t realize how busy he was. But we both do what we can. He’s the perfect guy.”
Elba proposed to Dhowre last month. The engagement comes shortly after the actor told Essence that he never wanted to marry again following two divorces.
“Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don’t think so. Yeah, I don’t think so,” he told the magazine last July. “Marriage is an institution of sorts. And I’ve done it. It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.”
