The NBA announced on Wednesday that North Carolina native J. Cole will headline the 2019 NBA All-Star Game halftime show in his home state. Before the game, fellow rapper Meek Mill will be the opening performance.

According to a press released obtained by EBONY.com, the 68th NBA All-Star Game will take place at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on Feb. 17.

Anthony Hamilton, the Charlotte-born R&B singer, will perform the U.S. national anthem and pop star Carly Rae Jespen will sing the Canadian anthem.

This year the Eastern and Western conference will each have 12 players selected including Warriors' Steph Curry, Celtics' Kyrie Irving, Rockets' James Harden and 76ers' Joel Embiid. The players were entered into a pool that was divided into starters and reserves. The team captains Lakers' LeBron James and Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo were picked based on the highest number of votes. They can draft their rosters regardless of conference affiliation.

The 2019 NBA All-Star Game will air at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
