James Comey seems to be a fan of Beyoncé.
The former FBI director said he sang “Sandcastles” by Beyoncé during an official FBI briefing, according to PBS NewsHour.
Comey, who’s been promoting his book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership, told television news program on Monday that he once received a counterintelligence case codenamed “Sandcastles.”
“They always have weird code names,” he said. “It was ‘Sandcastles,’ and so I said ‘Beyoncé!’ And I was the only one in the room who had any idea what I was talking about. People were like, ‘What?’ I said, ‘We built sandcastles’—Honest to God, I sung like that.”
“Sandcastles” appeared on Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed album Lemonade.
Comey revealed that he also listens to Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift.
