Black Girls Rock will honor Janet Jackson with the rock star award at this year’s show, per The Associated Press.

Organizers called Jackson a “phenomenal woman in music” on Thursday.

The show, which honors and celebrated Black women in various fields, will be taped on Sunday at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark and air on Sept 9 on BET.

Jackson is riding high after releasing her new single “Made For Now” with Daddy Yankee and her successful State of the World tour.

The singer isn’t the only woman that will be honored at 2018’s Black Girls Rock.

Mary J. Blige will receive the star power award, Naomi Campbell will get the black girl magic award and Judith Jamison will be presented with the living legend award for her contributions to dance and choreography, per The AP.

Queen Latifah is tapped to host this year’s show.
