Grammy® award-winner singer-songwriter Jill Scott is set to drop her fifth studio effort, and first since 2011. The R&B songstress has set a release date of July 24, 2015 for WOMAN and is unveiling the cover art for the follow up to the 2011 critically acclaimed The Light of the Sun. The thought provoking titled album is coming off the heels of Jill’s latest singles, “Fool’s Gold” that debuted on May 11th and is currently #7 on Billboard R&B charts and the critically acclaimed, “You Don’t Know”.

Executive produced by the vocal powerhouse herself alongside producer extraordinaire Andre Harris (“Long Walk Home” & “Is It The Way”) and Nashville great Aaron Pearce, Jill is describing the sound of this album as “classic Philly soul meets Country rhythm served with captivating storytelling”. This album is everything we love about Jill! In addition to the new album, Jill Scott is giving her fans what they’ve been waiting for with a tour and other live performances throughout the summer.

The tour—playing in a combination of theaters and amphitheaters in over 25 cities—kicks off July 9th in St Louis and finales on August 28th in Phoenix, AZ. With sold out shows in New York and Baltimore, other major markets are quickly selling out. Jill also formed a unique partnership with iHeartMedia and Live Nation whereby together they developed an annual radio show platform named “Summer Block Party” for the Urban AC space, similar to the Jingle Ball and Powerhouse shows in other radio formats. She serves as a partner and performer in the sold out, inaugural V103 Summer Block Party on July 11, 2015 in Chicago. Jill will be performing new music from her upcoming album, WOMAN along with her classic hits.
