Fans wanting to see Pacific Rim: Uprising actor John Boyega join the Marvel Cinematic Universe may get their wish.
Boyega was at Awesome Con on Saturday in Washington D.C., where he let slip that he met with Marvel Studio executives about playing a superhero in the future, according to Bounding Into Comics.
He admitted that if he does end up in a Marvel movie it wouldn’t be anytime soon, the site reports.
Boyega also answered questions about playing another iconic Marvel character.
“[it would be a] spit in the face of Wesley [Snipes] if I took Blade,” he told the crowd when asked if he’d take over for Wesley Snipes in the Blade series. He said he is “all for Wesley [Snipes] playing Blade.”
He is no stranger to working with Disney. Boyega plays Finn in the latest Star Wars films.
