John Legend may be a certified soul man, but has always respected and embraced Hip Hop culture. The “Ordinary People” singer came up in the industry singing hooks for rap staples such as Jay Z, Slum Village and of course, Kanye West.

Now, with five solo albums under his belt, the crooner is developing his own reality series hoping to give aspiring rappers the break needed to achieve their dreams.

Alongside former NBC executive Jeff Gaspin, Legend is developing reality competition series, Rhythm & Flow, for Netflix, according to Variety.

As of yet, there’s no indication whether the Darkness & Light artist will have an on-camera role or stick to behind-the-scenes involvement in his position as executive producer.

Rhythm & Flow
will be Netflix’s first reality talent competition series.
