BET’s inspiring gospel competition, Sunday Best, is set to return for its ninth season after a four-year hiatus with a fresh new logo and new judges including Kelly Price.

According to a press release obtained by EBONY, the series will welcome back Grammy Award winner Kirk Franklin as host and gospel songstress Erica Campbell of the duo Mary, Mary as a judge. In addition, nine-time Grammy-nominated artist Price and eight-time Stellar Award winner Jonathan McReynolds will join the show as new judges.

In addition to the new faces, the Sunday Best logo has been changed to a sleeker design.  The series will consist of a brand-new stage and exciting themed challenges for its contestants.

Season Nine will begin with in-person auditions in U.S. cities including Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit and overseas in Lagos, Nigeria; Johannesburg, South Africa; and for the first time, London. The judges will be tasked with narrowing applicants from around the globe from 20 to 10.

Sunday Best will be executive produced by Jesse Collins (The New Edition Story); Dionne Harmon (The Bobby Brown Story) and Jeanne Rouzan-Clay (Dear Mama, Black Girls Rock!) will serve as co-executive producers. Josh Greenberg (Lip Sync Battle) will be the showrunner.

The forthcoming season will air on BET Sunday nights starting in June. For more information, check out BET.com/SundayBest.
