Comedian Kevin Hart portrays himself in J. Cole’s new music video for his song “Kevin’s Heart.” The song is the eighth track on Cole’s latest album KOD. The fifth studio album from the rapper which broke first-day streaming records on Apple Music and Spotify.
J. Cole references Hart’s past cheating scandal on the song and the visual tackles the comedian having to live with the repercussions of his infidelity while being a famed celebrity subjected to the public eye. Cole appears in the video only briefly as Hart is mainly the focus of the story. The father of three has to deal with stares at the supermarket, an awkward selfie and pick-up lines as he goes about his day.
The video was directed by Scott Lazer and J. Cole and has a very dark comedic undertone. Hart receives some direct advice while in the bathroom. Watch the video above.
