Kevin Hart and T.I. are putting together a comedy music series, and we’re pretty intrigued. The funnyman and music mogul will be bringing their talents to Showtime in the forthcoming comedy series, The Studio. Though both Hart and T.I. will serve as executive producers of the series, they are also said to be guest starring regularly. Written by Everybody Hates Chris scribe Aeysha Carr, The Studio will chronicle the day-to-day and night-to-night antics that happen in a music recording studio, the people who work in this very unorthodox office place and the conversations you have when your peak work hours are from midnight to 6 AM.

This isn’t the first time that T.I. and the What Now? comedian have worked together. For What Now? Hart dropped a comedic mixtape The Mixtape Presents Chocolate Droppa with Migos & T.I. Additionally, T.I. also co-starred alongside Hart in Get Hard and made a cameo in Hart’s Ride Along 2.

Kevin Hart has pretty much become Mr. Box Office and with his forthcoming films, The Great Outdoors and Night School out in 2018, he’s not stopping anytime soon. T.I. is also doing his thing in the film industry. He just wrapped up filming for William H. Macy’s Krystal, and he will be reprising his role of Dave in the Ant-Man sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp.

There is no word yet on who will be starring in The Studio, but knowing Carr whose most recent writing credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Carmichael Show, it should be full of talented folks. Until then, check out Chocolate Droppa’s mixtape.
