Kevin Hunter may be keeping details about his divorce from Wendy Williams under wraps, but he has come forward denying rumors of having an affair with singer Aveon Williams, better known as Aveon Falstar. The musician recently appeared on the unWineWithTaskaK podcast, during which he accused Hunter of pursuing a sexual relationship with him after signing to his music label.
Falstar claims Hunter's alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, encouraged him to join Hunter's label after he performed during a warm-up segment prior to a taping of The Wendy Williams Show.
“It wasn’t a sexual relationship. It was much more of an abusement relationship,” he said. “It was much more of a 'put me down and keep me as your boy toy' relationship. We did [have sex] … He came over and practically raped me at 3 o’clock in the morning.”
The singer claims he sent a "pre-suit" letter to Hunter and his legal representation requesting for an undisclosed amount due to sexual assault and sexual humiliation. Hunter did not reply to the letter, but his legal reps released a statement to Page Six vehemently denying Falstar's claims.
"The claims levied by Mr. Aveon Williams against Mr. Kevin Hunter are baseless and are completely false," the statement said. "Mr. Williams’ actions are a part of an elaborate scheme to extort money from Mr. Hunter and is nothing more than an attempt to shake him down for financial gain."
In addition, the statement continued, "This office did not offer to settle this matter for any amount nor did we counter their offer as, in accordance with our own independent investigation of these claims, we determined that Mr. Williams’ claims were without merit and we will not allow our client to be extorted by Mr. Williams. Mr. Hunter denies Mr. Williams’ claims in the entirety and it further saddens us that Mr. Williams is essentially making light of crimes involving sexual battery by levying these false claims, which a great disservice to those individuals who have actually been the victim of these types of heinous crimes."
After 25 years of marriage, Williams filed for divorce from Hunter last week. She confirmed their split and gave a brief update about her life after marriage on Monday's episode of her Emmy-nominated talk show.
